What is Kenegdo Leadership?

[keh-neg-do]

preposition; Ancient Hebrew
1 :   facing towards; opposite
2 :   a relational position of correspondence and equality; a counterpart

‘Kenegdo’ encompasses our client-coach partnership providing support, motivation, and empowerment.

At Kenegdo Leadership, our mission is to help small business, non-profit, and family leaders build the capacity and confidence to zoom out, strategize growth, and create a vibrant culture that endures

Leadership shouldn’t feel this overwhelming.

✖️
Chronically on the verge of burnout.
✖️ Struggling to pull your team out of their silos

✖️  Having zero time to step back and look at the big picture.

You don’t have to lead like that anymore.

Kenegdo Leadership is for you if:

  • You are committed to accelerating growth.
  • You refuse to continue setting the same goals over and over again.
  • You are the one navigating the messy middle between your staff and board.
  • You lack a thinking partner or confidential, safe space to unpack the leadership challenges you face.
  • You recognize emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and visionary leadership are skills that multiply with intentional development.

Kenegdo LEadership is likely NOT for you if:

  • You are in a culture that actively resists change or leadership above you undermines your development efforts (and you plan to stay there).
  • You are unwilling or unable to invest time, energy, and resources into your personal and professional development right now.
  • You’re looking for immediate answers to complex problems.
  • You are in crisis mode or undergoing major transition.
  • You have no decision-making power.

Hey there, Leader!

I’m Christy jansma,

• coach
• Thinking Partner
• status quo challenger
• and Clarity junkie

My mom tells stories about watching how I engaged in unfamiliar social situations as a kid. Inevitably, I would quietly scan the room, hanging back, just soaking in everything there was to see and hear. It’s not that I was shy, I was just figuring out how things worked. I would engage enthusiastically once I understood what was going on in the room–who held the power, how the game worked, where rules and boundaries could be stretched—and how I fit.

I didn’t always appreciate or understand my hesitance—I thought I lacked confidence, especially compared to my brilliant, bold, and quick-witted younger sister who would jump in and hit the ground running. In our family, big relocations happened every 2-3 years, so I had plenty of opportunities to size myself up next to my sister … and plenty of time to practice reading the room.

What I realize now is how those formative experiences honed my observational skills and intuition—my ability to sense the vibrations that foreshadow change, the undercurrents, the power dynamics, and the energy shifts.

With 30 years of experience in volunteer and professional leadership roles — spanning small business, boards, teams and task forces, communications, and the not-to-be-underestimated raising of four amazing young adults — my calling has shifted from a focus on ‘doing’ to a passion for empowering others.

People ask what inspired me to become a coach. I’ve experienced what it’s like to be led by incredible women and men whose leadership transparency and trust allowed me to push back, influence decisions, and rethink together.

I coach because I’ve seen what happens when leaders empower leaders and the fact is, our world needs more of that.
